Marc Anthony’s former accountant is reportedly facing grand larceny charges after allegedly taking $2.5 million from the singer.
Kyle Tessiero began working for a New York accounting firm that handles Anthony’s finances in 2007, but according to TMZ, he began making millions of dollars’ worth of purchases on the salsa star’s credit cards in 2009 and paid the balances with funds from Anthony’s own bank account.
He also allegedly used the accounts of Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband to pay for purchases at various entertainment venues, reportedly running up a balance of $2.5 million on Anthony’s American Express credit card from 2009 to 2017.
Tessiero’s unauthorized purchases were only discovered in August following an internal audit.
If convicted, Tessiero faces up to 25 years in prison.
